[-] Appendix A1 - Configuration Script Interpreter

#NOOP Operator

Syntax

#NOOP

Description

The #NOOP preprocessor command performs no operation. As the name implies, it stands for “No Operation.” While it can be used in a configuration script, it has no effect on script execution and therefore serves no practical purpose for script authors.

Internally, however, #NOOP plays an important role. During script processing, labels are resolved and converted into addresses (or line-number positions). The original label definitions are then replaced with #NOOP commands to ensure that they are ignored by the Configuration Interpreter at runtime.
